HDPE Geocell
HDPE Geocell
Petroseal HDPE geocell is a three-dimensional honeycomb grid that confines soil or aggregate fill, increasing shear strength on steep dam faces, spillway shoulders, and road embankments. Cells are expanded on site, anchored, and infilled—often with vegetated topsoil on outer slopes or crushed stone on hydraulic structures. On mega-projects such as Suki Kinari Hydropower Dam and Diamer Bhasha Dam, geocell works as part of a geosynthetic package with HDPE geomembrane lining and geotextile separation layers supplied for FWO, Power China, and associated joint-venture contractors.
Key features
- — HDPE strips ultrasonically welded into expandable cells
- — Slope and embankment erosion control on dam civil works
- — Reduces fill volume while stabilizing steep faces
- — Compatible with geomembrane and geotextile system designs
- — Supplied for Suki Kinari and Diamer Bhasha dam-related zones
Applications
- Dam abutment and downstream slope protection
- Spillway and channel side slope confinement
- Embankment and access road shoulder stabilization
- Vegetated slope facing above reservoir full supply level
