TERACOO Weather Coat GP

TERACOO Weather Coat GP is a two-component, acrylic-modified cementitious waterproofing system supplied as liquid resin and powder—mixed on site to form a flexible, breathable coating that waterproofs and resurfaces concrete and masonry. It protects against carbonation and chloride ingress, bonds to porous and non-porous substrates, and can be applied to concrete as young as 24 hours old for immediate protection.

Key features

  • Protects against carbonation and water-borne salts
  • Excellent adhesion to porous and non-porous surfaces
  • Flexible—accommodates thermal movement in concrete structures
  • Non-toxic and suitable for contact with potable water
  • Breathable membrane: repels water while allowing the substrate to breathe
  • High resistance to carbon dioxide and chloride ion diffusion
  • Light pedestrian traffic after cure; apply from 24-hour-old concrete upward

Applications

  • Top roofs and exposed concrete decks
  • Basement retaining walls, rafts, and foundations
  • Overhead and underground water tanks
  • Bathrooms, kitchens, and other sunken wet areas
  • Sea-water channels and brackish-water environments
  • Tie-bar hole sealing and detail waterproofing
  • Backing coat behind marble and granite to prevent staining and water ingress
  • Protection against chloride and carbonation attack on facades and structures

Pakistan climate recommendation

Substrate must be clean and free of laitance, oil, grease, and curing compounds; concrete pull-off strength should exceed 145 psi. Prepare by high-pressure washing or grit blasting, pre-wet to a saturated surface-dry condition, and fill blow holes or cracks with approved repair mortar before coating. Mix 1 part liquid to 2 parts powder by weight in a forced-action mixer (max 500 rpm)—shake the liquid first, then add powder slowly. Apply two coats with a stiff brush or spray, with the second coat perpendicular to the first once the first coat has cured. Use each mixed batch within one hour. Cure under polythene sheeting for at least 3 days to retain moisture and complete cement hydration.
